Matthew Klatsky brings a distinct blend of experience and passion to his role as a Partner – Managing Director, where he works closely with clients to help secure their financial futures. Born and raised in Rumson, New Jersey, Matthew was immersed in the world of finance from an early age, with his father being an estate attorney. He credits many of his financial insights to those early discussions at the kitchen table, which ultimately shaped his career path.
A graduate of the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland, Matthew earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance. He began his professional journey as a trader on the floor of the exchange in New York, spending nine years in a fast-paced environment before shifting his focus to personal finance. Becoming a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional was a turning point, allowing him to combine his analytical experience with a passion for helping individuals and families achieve their financial goals.
What sets Matthew apart is his hands-on, personable approach. “For me, there is nothing more rewarding than sitting down with a family and helping them uncover untapped efficiencies in their financial lives. I want to be more than just an advisor—I want to be part of my clients’ families,” he says. He believes this commitment to forging deep, trusting relationships has earned him multiple accolades, including being named a Forbes Best-In-State Wealth Advisor for 2024*, Forbes Best-In-State Wealth Management Team Member for 2024 and 2026**, Five Star Wealth Manager for 2024*** recognition from AdvisorHub as an Advisor to Watch for 2024****.
Outside of work, Matthew loves spending quality time with his wife Lindsay, and their two children, Jordan and Madison. When not with clients or family, you can often find Matthew playing golf, enjoying a game of pickleball, or exploring new travel destinations. A firm believer in giving back, Matthew and Lindsay are active in philanthropic endeavors, focusing on both time and financial contributions to causes close to their hearts.
Reflecting on his career transition from trading to financial planning, Matthew notes, “Helping families on an ongoing basis is very rewarding. My background gives me a distinct perspective, and I strive to provide the advice my clients deserve, knowing that their future is planned for.” Looking ahead, he envisions a future where he is fully immersed in client relationships, delegating administrative tasks so he can focus solely on the aspects of the job he loves most.
